King of Key West

an Original Watercolor/Water Media Painting

If you have ever visited Key West, Florida you may have come across some of the other permanent residents that live on this southernmost Key.  They have made their homes there, wander and sometimes "rule" the streets, especially surrounding the Pier and areas down by the waterfront.

These typically "Barnyard" creatures are stunning in their colors and Variations, not to mention their personalities of course!  This guy struck me immediately!  The almost iridescent colors in his tail feathers as well as the deep and brilliant reds, yellows and oranges took my breath away and I realized immediately he would be painted.
