49 BYE BYES

This new Mixed Media painting is loaded with EVERYTHING!  I not only poured my heart out into this, but I put layers and layers of handmade collage papers, sheet music, from the Song "49 Bye Byes", textures from Gel Medium, Moulding Paste, Scratching, Scraping, Wiping Off, Layering On, Glazing Paint, Color over Color and mark making along the way using Stabilos, Gelatos, Posca Pens, Oil Markers, Inktense Pencils, and so many more tools.  This is definitely, a true Labor of Love in many many ways.

If you saw the very beginning of this piece and how it ended up, you would be shocked - they were not even relatable in anyway.  I just took my Paints, my Brushes, my Feelings, Heart and Soul and went to work.

The Sheet Music I went off of was for Piano and Guitar, which in and of itself has deep meaning for me and is currently sitting on my Piano as I learn to play, but I had to put the song onto Canvas and this was the end result.

I have painted Portraits and represented people in my paintings with their likeness many times, but I have never put a person into a painting like this before.  It was easy and difficult at the same time.

This piece will have you discovering new things every time you look at it.

Enjoy the View!
