Front Porch Flowers in Harbor Springs

Watercolor

18 w x 13 h

I always have a camera with me when I walk around Harbor Springs, Michigan.   I am always inspired by the Window Boxes, Front Porches and Building Facades. as  they always prove to be so delightful in the Summer.

This painting was inspired by one of those walks with my Camera.  I was walking on Bay Street and came across this beautiful Porch.  It had flowers blooming everywhere!  You know me, I am always drawn to the Bold Color, the beautiful shadows and of course, the high Contrast of light and shadow.

This painting is a result of that walk.  It brings me back to that beautiful sunny day in Harbor Springs!
