Julia Dufault McGrath » Ghost Walker

"Ghost Walker" was one of my first commissions.  It terrified me becuase I looked at this yacht as an Architectural subject.  Architectural subjects ten to scare me off a little, but I knew I wanted to tackle it.  I hired a boat to go out and take photos from the water as it was parked at the dock.

I also took photos at different times of the day, early morning, around 3 in the afternoon and around 5.  I wanted to get the optimum of lighting.

I was also told that he wanted Ghost Walker to be in front of an Island, so, my imagination went to work.

He was delighted with the painting and I was happy that he was happy.
